London - WC1

Situated to the West of the City of London, Bloomsbury, WC1 is an area within London Borough of Camden characterised by a diversity of occupiers including some of London's best universities and media firms as well as solicitors and barristers. Bloomsbury Square is a major tourist attraction and the area is home to a number of Bloomsbury hotels.

Bloomsbury is home to a University of London's central bodes and departments, including Senate House Library and School of Advanced Study, and to several of its colleges, including University College London, the Institute of Education (IOE), Birkbeck, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the SOAS, University of London. It is also home to the University of Law and New College of the Humanities. The numerous health-care institutions located in Bloomsbury include the British Medical Association, Great Ormond Street Hospital, the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, University College Hospital and the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine. London Contemporary Dance School and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art are also located in the area.

The location enjoys excellent transport links with underground services from Chancery Lane, Russell Square, Goodge Street and Tottenham Court Road and King's Cross to the North as well as Overground Thameslink services from Farringdon station which is currently being upgraded to accommodate the new Elizabeth Line/Crossrail service.

In terms of offices the area has historically been characterised by period office buildings and this is still largely the case with small period office space available at a low rent, with small office units being available for less than £40.00 per sq ft in prime locations. Low rent offices are available despite the area being close to the City and the West End.

With local occupiers including Facebook, Google, Bauer Media, Yahoo and 20th Century Fox, the area has proven attractive to leading global companies who have chosen to locate their offices in some of the impressive modern developments in the area providing high quality office space in London. Such developments include Central Saint Giles, 10 Bloomsbury Way as well as the newly completed Centre Point residential development.

Occupiers in the vicinity benefit from a wide range of amenities with some of London's most exclusive restaurants and hotels such as Hakkasan, The Ivy, The Hoxton Holborn and Rosewood Hotel.
