BBG took on the Sportingbet mandate early on in the online betting business’s development. In the first instance, new offices of 25,000sq.ft. in 45 Moorfields on a short term sublease from BT were selected for their value for money and proximity to Moorgate station. This decision kept operational costs low while the business focussed on recruitment of new staff and expansion in a nascent and uncertain sector of the betting industry.
BBG remained as advisers to Sportingbet throughout their occupation in Moorfields, during which time further floors were acquired and released and all lease events – rent review, lease renewal and Rateable Value compensation – were handled by BBG.
