Brief

This client previously based in a 3,000sf leased office in the heart of the City had its lease coming to an end during the pandemic . The lease expiry presented an opportunity to right size the office for its Covid requirements and reduce its overheads whilst retaining flexibility to re-address its needs post pandemic.

Location: City of London, Insurance district

Size: 8 workstation office with access to meeting rooms plus generous business lounge and break-out facilities with flex provider

Term: A 6 month license agreement with rolling monthly notice from there

Start date. January 2021

Significant details: The space had to offer a positive, creative, professional tech environment where a team can work creatively and collaboratively and welcome clients

What we did

With BBG’s intimate knowledge of the best managed but most competitively priced flex offerings in the City core our Flexible Office team created a long-list of 16 options.

We narrowed the options down to nine to inspect and attended those viewings respecting rigorous social distancing. Nine centres were  narrowed to three to present to the Board. The lure of “The  Cheesegrater” in Leadenhall Street and its additional facilities proved key in its decision following which heavily discounted terms were negotiated on a flexible 6 month basis.

We will continue to work closely with this client to navigate its route back to the office and support it in the post Covid office strategy.
